2. Bookends is an installation and visual art exhibit showcased in two bookstore windows, Toronto Women’s Bookstore and Another Story Bookshop.
For the Mayworks at 20! Bookends exhibit, Mayworks coupled the artwork of a worker’s organization with that of an individual artist; Workers’ Action Centre and Virginia Mak; to look at collective history and personal stories.
In All We’ve Worked For, Workers’ Action Centre brings attention to bad bosses, workers’ rights, and fighting for fair wages and working conditions. In All I Work For, Virginia Mak reflects on some personal questions about work. As thematic bookends, the two exhibits work together, to offer some collective and individual experiences.

Opening Reception for Bookends

Starring Patricia O’Callaghan and Alexander Dobson.
